The Dunbarton Sombresa Brulee Toro changed the way that I think about flavoured cigars.
On first inspection, the Sombressa Brulee is very dense in the hand and perfectly constructed with a unique crown band, that, while entirely irrelevant to the smoking process, is a nice touch.
Bring the Sombressa Brulee to your lips and... oh... a light sweetness? Yes, but unlike, say, the Tabac Especial range, for those of you who remember it, the sweetness here is subtle and quickly fades to the background once lit, to let the more delicate flavours push through.
What are those flavours you ask? Well, upon lighting, the Sombressa brulee is a perfect representation of everything great about Connecticut wrapped cigars, creamy, biscuity, light and woody, light enough for a beginner smoker, and while its perhaps not the most complex cigar in the world, it tastes great, and that all that really matters.
Pushing through to the second third and the intensity of the cedar woody taste intensifies, (but not too different, night and straight forward)
The last third really ramps up however, with, and I hate to say it, "a distinct minerality" a light tingling on the tongue
For those who need a little more information, here's a review from Blind man's puff for an even wankier review than what I've done above, they ranked it 94/100
